Wonderful to have the freedom to wander around the abbey and gardens, dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent as was breakfast, great location in the cloisters
Our room was too small, there were larger rooms , it would be advisable to check.

The serene atmosphere made for a peaceful getaway. The free access to the abbey at night really sets this place apart. Exploring the beautifully restored abbey after hours felt magical. My room, a Classic Double Room, was furnished and had large windows that overlooked the gardens. It felt spacious and cute. Breakfast showcased local products and had a good selection, though some items were a bit lukewarm. Service was great, particularly at the reception, a plus. Unfortunately, the restaurant was fully booked , disappointing. The gym facilities felt more like an afterthought. The limited equipment didn't really cater to a proper workout. While I loved the unique experience and fine location, the dining reservation system and gym facilities could definitely use some attention.

Excellent location: sleeping in the abbey gives you more chances to explore it when there are fewer people around. The room was small but very quiet, with a view on the garden of the abbey. The restaurant of the hotel...

Wonderfull location.
I was disappointed in the restaurant. I expected it would be more gastronomic. Too small portions without really being special. Gastronomic doesn't mean a big plate with small portions, but tasty combinations. So restaurant is overpriced.

good strolls through historic abbey and nearby parks
I loved wandering the quiet grounds of the abbey on a summer evening, taking in the beauty of the landscape and the sense of history that surrounded me, and I also appreciated that the hotel is just a short walk from the fine Chateau de Montsoreau-Museum of Contemporary Art, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.
